Kyle Tanger manages numerous GHG and energy projects with Fortune 50, Federal, and Non-Profit clients. He brings significant greenhouse gas estimation experience to Clear Carbon Consulting, having managed the inventory efforts of multiple clients with combined emissions totaling in excess of 60 million metric tons CO2eq. Mr. Tanger served as a peer reviewer for the World Resources Institute and World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol, contributed extensive written comments to multiple guidance documents for GHG registries, and has presented at international GHG conferences. He has worked extensively to create tools that measure financial performance of climate mitigation strategies and offset portfolios. Mr. Tanger also has managed corporate GHG and sustainability information management projects, performed feasibility studies and designed blueprints for system development. He has extensive product carbon life-cycle analysis experience, having consulted on the life-cycle carbon footprint analyses for multiple consumer products.
Cynthia Cummis - Director of Carbon Management
Ms. Cummis is the Director of Carbon Management at Clear Carbon Consulting, managing carbon quantification and management projects for multiple Fortune 500 clients.
She brings more than 11 years of experience working on the issue of global climate change. Ms. Cummis was the founding Director of U.S. EPA’s Climate Leaders Program, a voluntary program that partners with businesses to develop corporate-wide greenhouse gas inventories and to develop corporate-wide greenhouse gas reduction goals. For more than 5 years, she led the design and implementation of the program and oversaw the growth of the program to more than 90 corporate Partners. Prior to managing Climate Leaders, Ms. Cummis served as the Manager of Strategic Projects for EPA’s Climate Wise program, aimed at increasing energy efficiency among industrial companies. Ms. Cummis served as a member of the Editorial Committee for the first version of WRI/WBCSD’s GHG Protocol and a member of the Revision Working Group for the revised edition. She also represented EPA as a member of the International Standard Organization’s U.S. Technical Advisory Group for development of ISO Standard 14064: a corporate standard for measuring, reporting, and verifying GHG emissions. She served as a key advisor in the design of the Climate Neutral Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping organizations and individuals achieve a net-zero impact on the Earth’s climate. Ms. Cummis has presented at dozens of U.S. corporate climate change conferences and has published numerous articles on approaches to high-quality GHG management.
Craig Strong - Director of Information Management
Mr. Strong has over a decade of experience in Information Technology, with extensive experience in Data Warehousing, Data Quality, Business Intelligence, and Data Integration. While consulting for multiple Fortune 50 companies, he has demonstrated repeated success in delivering large data integration projects by relying on established project management methodologies and his broad consulting and technical experience. Mr. Strong has architected data warehouse applications for a long list of clients, including Johnson & Johnson, AIG, Proctor & Gamble, and Fannie Mae. He has also designed information management applications that assist corporations in meeting their sustainability goals. Mr. Strong is a certified project management professional with a Master’s degree in Information Technology, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and a BS in Environmental Geology.
